Below are some of the events and activities that YAP Ireland CLG have participated in this year.

Celebrate Children's Day on November 20th 2017

This is a day for children, by children, all over the world to help save children’s lives, fight for their rights and help them fulfil their potential. It's about lots of events all over Ireland celebrating this.

YAP Cork Young Person and Advocate Volunteer at the West Cork Animal Rescue Centre

Naomi and and her Advocate Pamela did some Voluntary work at the West Cork Animal Rescue Centre. They also did a fundraising walk to help with food, shelter and vet costs.

YAP Ireland CLG Launch Independent Advocacy Service with St. John of Gods

Youth Advocate Programmes Ireland CLG are delighted to announce that we have now set up an Independent Advocacy Service for the young people in the Ginesa Suite, Saint John of God Hospital, Stillorgan. This follows on from awarding them with the Investing in Children Award. It is the first young person's Independent Advocacy Service within an adolescent inpatient setting in Ireland.

YAP Event 2017 - Young People Speak Out "How Can I Bring About Change"

Youth Advocate Programmes Ireland CLG National Event took place this year in Croke Park on 17th of August 2017. Young people, parents/carers and staff presented a range of projects on the theme of Young People Speak Out - ‘How Can I Bring About Change’.

Investing In Children Membership Award

For the past 12 months we have been working on a participation project in the Midlands with our colleagues in TUSLA. The project has been based around Youth Voice and Participation and has been completed through the medium of Art.

YAP Cork Parents - Paying it Forward

Paying it Forward. The Parents, with the help of Young People and Advocates in YAP Cork have developed a really nice tool-kit type flyer.
